Born to Filipino/Mexican parents in San Benito, TX and raised in Harlingen, TX, Juan moved to Chicago as a teenager. He worked at a bakery for seven years before joining the U.S. Army, where he ranked as a Corporal. Juan earned his B.S. in Computer Science while working for the United States Post Office. He retired from USPS as a computer technician after 45 years of service.
Beloved husband of the late Amparo de la Fuente (nee Sauceda); loving father of Ruth Ayala, devoted grandfather of Alejandro, Roberto, and Raquel Ayala; great-grandfather of seven.
Son of the late Jose and Altagracia (nee Chavez) de la Fuente.
