Rev. Katharine Louise Zimmerman, 81, of Tinley Park and Chicago, passed away on April 9, 2013. The daughter of Hilmar and Marie Louise (nee Binder) Zimmerman, and sister of Patricia and Miriam Zimmerman (all deceased). She was especially close to surviving cousins Carol Haase Cook, Elizabeth Allison, Peter Zimmerman and Mary Teeters. Born in Chicago, a graduate of Knox College, Rev. Zimmerman served in several congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, most recently at Zion Lutheran. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, April 20 at Zion Lutheran Church, 17100 South 69th Ave., Tinley Park, IL 60477. Interment (private) at Rosehill Cemetery, Chicago.
