HE ALWAYS HAD A BEAUTIFUL SMILE AND ALWAYS HAD SUCH NICE THINGS TO SAY, HE WILL BE SORELY MISSED. A GREAT MAN.ALWAYS SHOWED GREAT COMPASSION FOR ANYONES LIFE HE TOUCHED. We may never had a lot of time spent with him, but those chances that we had during his several vacations in Pampanga gave us enough pictures of him in our mind. He was the eldest among Yamat brothers whom we believe that our father had a strong resemblance with. Everyone will really miss his cheerful personality, his flaterring smile, his funny jokes, his encouraging tap in our shoulder, his hearty laughter, his warm hello, his tight goodbye hug, his friendly embrace. He inspired so much by being humble, forgiving at all times, helpful and generous. 
He will truly be remembered as a man who spread good vibes. But we, the children of his brother Librado, would remember him as the greatest brother who lifted up our lives by being one of the people who greatly influenced our father to be the good person that he could be. Yes, we only saw him occasionally but we will forever be grateful for everything that he had done for us. Through the stories that our father repeatedly shared to us about him since we were young, it was more than enough to know him well, love him and admire him for being the most positive, jolly and supportive person that we've known. We never heard any story, not even once, that he lost his temper for he was very calm inside just as how pretty cool he was on his timeless outfits.
Though we have lost such a decent, admirable man in our family, our most beloved Bapa Boy, he left us with a most beautiful lesson. His life has taught us so much that we can relive his memories by continuously live his wisdom. He showed us all that family by blood is family at heartwe beat as one, we live as one. We do pray that our Lord will send us comfort that we may accept His will, that we may let our dear Bapa Boy to rest eternally in His side.
Bapa Boy, words will never be enough to express our gratitude to you. Even before Tita Floring, Tata and Inda left us, you'd always been there to love and guide the whole family. We will never fail you because we will keep the love and support for each other, all your loved ones, for a lifetime. The angels of Heaven will surely be delighted to welcome a soul so pure.

May you rest in peace...you are one of the best, kind, loving and thoughtful person I've ever meet.  You will forever be in our hearts..

My deepest condolences to the Yamat family. I have known him for always being strong with a smile on his face and will be remembered as that. I am sure that he is still smiling wherever he is right now. May you rest in peace papu.

(translated and re-arranged) This is, honestly, the most heartbreaking thing for me to do--to think of a message for the funeral of my beloved brother. 

No words can explain nor compare how painful it is to lose a brother so dearly and for not having a last chance to talk to him, to hug him, and to tell him how grateful and proud I am of having him as our eldest brother.

I could not think of any single act that he did wrong since our childhood years. All that I could recall were happy memories with him such as meaningful conversations, endless laughter, sumptuous meals that he prepared for us and a lot of other moments that we once shared.

Though we may not have a regular conversations over the telephone these past few years, he remained to be there with a helping hand during our most adversed situations. 

If I would be making a list of his good deeds, then I am pretty sure that lifetime is not enough to recall everything, for he spent most of his life doing his best for family and sharing himself as a blessing to many.

Let me narrate briefly a most unforgettable, life-changing incident between us.

There was a time, on our early years, when I have not controlled my anger so I punched and brawled a man who unstoppably throwing bad, dirty words on him after getting drunk on our drinking sessions. I thought that he would be happy and will thank me for serving a quick, manly justice on the impertinence of that man towards him, but he did otherwise. 

He told me that it was wrong to physically hurt somebody in return of the bad words they uttered. He said, "Those words, no matter how bad it was, did not harm me a bit. His drunkenness will pass and so as those words spoken. But the pain you've caused him will remain for few days, it might even damage a friendship. Never go wrong and do not let your fair judgment and actions be affected by other people's statement, even when they are not right."

Koyang Boy, I have lived your words and looked up to you as my role model on being a good person. I do love you with all my heart, Koyang Boy, and I could not describe the pain of bidding a final goodbye to you. 

Thank you for showing us the true meaning of brotherhood in our family. You have lived such a fruitful life and your memories will remain forevery in our hearts.

You may be apart from us eternally but you will be loved by us endlessly.

Rest peacefully in our Lord's paradise, Koyang Boy.

Growing up 2nd gen Filipino-American, all my parent's friends were introduced to me like they were family.  You were the very first of many Uncle Boys and the Filipino nicknames didn't stop there. I didn't even know my "cousins" Reggie & Riza's real name until I was in my 20's! I knew I'd see you and the family at the Filipino parties once I saw your cool 4Runner you've always rolled in.  You will be greatly missed Uncle Boy! Thoughts and prayers are with you Yamat family.

Lord, I know I will never stop missing my brother, Koyang Boy, but I do hope that You are holding him closely to You.

Its really sad now that you're gone. I wished i could see you for the last time, i know you are in a better place now. Even tho you're gone, you are still with us in our hearts. Please guide us in our life and keep us safe. We love you and we will miss you.

Manong Boy was always full of life. Anytime he seen me and my brother he would scream our names Eboonnnnyyy shannoooonn with a big smile and always give us a big hug. I always thought my Manong was so cool from the way he talked, walked, and dressed. Filipino southside swag!! I will miss him dearly. Rest now manong we love you

My sincerest condolences to you Riza, Reggie, Ma and the entire family! I remember when I first met Pa....in 1998! Lol! He was the nicest, coolest, and cutest...lol...dad. When I think of him, my heart genuinely smiles and my prayer is, so does yours. I love y'all!
