It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved Marioara "Maria" Ciobra. On January 12th, 2024, Maria, a kind soul, and a driving force in many lives, left us. Born in Negresti Oas, Romania, on January 6, 1960, to Vasile and Maria (nee Berinde) Ciobra, she immigrated to the United States in 1991, where she became a cherished and accomplished Charge Nurse in the OR at Weiss Memorial Hospital. Maria's impact extended far beyond her professional achievements; she was a beacon of love for her family and friends.
Her warmth touched the lives of many, and her memory will forever be engraved in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Maria's dedication to family was unparalleled, and she reveled in spending precious moments with her loved ones.
Beyond the hospital walls, Maria was a culinary artist, delighting in the creation of traditional Romanian dishes and baking treats for her cherished family and friends. Her vacations were a celebration of family bonds, as she traveled to Romania to spend cherished moments with her parents and extended family. Maria found solace in nature and, during her free time, took leisurely walks in the park, appreciating the beauty that surrounded her.
Her keen eye for beauty and decor was not confined to her own space; Maria took joy in decorating not only her home but also the homes of her beloved family. Her touch left an indelible mark on the spaces she adorned, reflecting her appreciation for the aesthetic.
Survived by her loving siblings Vasile (Valeria) Ciobra, Viorel (Lili) Ciobra, Emilia Ciobra, and Liviu (Adriana) Ciobra, Maria leaves behind adoring nieces and nephews: Cristina, Vivienne, Victoria, Adela, Bianca, and Bogdan. Her companion of many years, Bruce Theobald, was a source of comfort and joy in her life. She was preceded in death by her parents.
