I received the greatest gift when I met you! Maritza you were the most encouraging , loving, tell it like it was woman I ever met! The thing that I carry in my heart is your love for the Lord and how He used you to shine the light for others to see . Even when you were in pain you put that to the side and were there with encouraging words. Your tenderness and wisdom brought me out of my shell to open up to you without fear of being judged! When you corrected me it was done with love and and the best hug ever afterwards!❤️ You will be missed but not forgotten ! Love you until we meet again!

Our sincerest and deepest condolences to Dinah, Jessica, Josue and the entire family on the passing of Maritza Torres. Your mom was an amazing and beautiful woman, mother, spouse, and grandmother. You always felt Maritza’s warmth, love, and grace with every embrace. Her presence and footprint touched many lives that she came across. Heaven certainly gained a beautiful angel up above to watch over and protect all of you. May she rest in eternal and everlasting peace, and may the Lord’s healing power comfort all of you during this most difficult time. May God bless you all.
Love and comfort,
Juan (Damian) & Desiree Melendez

I was blessed to know and be loved by our sister Maritza. As I previously shared, she was present to counsel me, encourage me, make me laugh, and feed me! I will never forget when I was in the process of healing from major surgery she went out of her way to cook for me. Not only that, she personally came to deliver it to me and stayed to encourage me through one of the most difficult times of my life. My hope was to do the same for her when she came back home, but the Lord called our sister unto Him before I got the privilege. I remain grateful to her for how she impacted my life and I thank God for all the lives He touched through our dear sister. She will be greatly missed. Far from us, but close to our hearts. Our most sincere condolences go out to her family and friends. May God's peace sustain you until you see her once again.
With love,
The Underwood family

Maritza, bella guerrera de Dios: Though Sergio and I did not know you as long as others in the Centro family, we knew you were a willing, unselfish, mature, loving servant of God. I was blessed to have you pray for me and my family, and blessed to be able to pray for you and yours. I learned from you that every part of my body is for God to use; that praying and tithing parents do bring blessing upon their children; and that we need to get over ourselves. I am so happy for you, being able to rejoice with the Lord. The Lord comfort your children and grandchildren... Sincerest condolences from the Tapia Family.

Maritza was an absolute joy and blessing in our church. She was in touch with the younger generations and never stopped encouraging us and loving us. She was incredibly witty and light hearted, but she didn't play when it came to the holiness of the Lord. I loved hearing her stories about her late husband, and just how much she cherished him. I bet that reunion was incredible! I know that she is dearly missed on earth, seriously, she was a treasure. But I also know that her legacy of grace, compassion, and patience will continue to pass down over and over. She was such a boss, yet tender child of God. Maritza we love you so much, and I'm sure heaven rejoiced when you walked in!

My sincerest condolences to the family of Maritza Torrres.
I know her thru her daughter Dinah and know how much she was loved and adored by her family. I had the extreme honor of meeting her in person . I could see the love of God shine from her and she graciously shared that with the rest of us. I know she will be truly missed by many in this life but also welcomed into heaven with open arms in her new life!

My dearest friend Maritza;
I met you when we went to college over 35 years ago and I will always remember you as a great woman of God. The times we would gather together to study, get ready for final exams, but most of all your teachings about the word of God.
We shared laughs, cooking, comforting each other and our methods on how to raised our kids to fear and love God.
My family — Johny, Johny Jr., Benjy, my mom, niece Jessica and my brother Willy we’ll always cherish your friendship. We will miss you but find comfort in knowing you were a through servant of God.
Thank you for the times we spent together your unconditional love, caring and support. Till we meet again in heaven my dear friend and sister. Love you❤️
Dinah, Jessica and Josue our deepest condolences. ❤️🙏🏼

Hna Maritza, you will always be my Spiritual Mother, my sister, my friend! It is so difficult to put into words the impact you made in my life. The hours we spoke on the phone about anything and everything. The gazillion times you would teach me about God's Word and the depth in those moments of fellowship! The moments you would cry with me, the times I would cry with you, the many times we shared so much laughter. Let's not forget the times you would scold me! Hahaha! The times you would hug me to simple bring a moment of comfort into my life. Ay Hermana, I pray you knew how much I love you and how much I miss you! I thank God that He brought you into my life. You will NEVER be forgotten. Te quiero Hermanita, hasta luego! ❤

Maritza, you beautifully demonstrated your love for our Lord Jesus Christ and the Word. I remember how much fun you and Dinah made our ISOM classes. We laughed so much. I loved hearing you talk about your grandchildren. The joy of their existence was evident when you mentioned them. You are such an important part of Centro and you are already greatly missed.
