Mary Honora Bowman, 75, of Chicago passed away on March 31, 2022. Beloved wife of Roy Bowman for 49 years. Mary received a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from DePaul University and then went on to earn a Master’s of Library Science from Rosary College. Mary used her education and was a long time librarian at DePaul University. She enjoyed gardening, was an avid collector of antiques, and loved to travel with her husband; some memorable trips were to Tahiti, Hawai’i and many trips to western Montana to visit friends, as well as many trips all over the United States. Mary was a member of the American Library Association as well as the Wallace Nutting Society. She will be sorely missed by her four-legged family: Trudy, Maggie and Stan. A memorial visitation will be held at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 North Western Avenue, Chicago, Il 60625 on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 4-8pm.
