Hi big brother,
I can’t believe you’re his past search. God called you away from us. I miss talking to you, and I said to your stories about your grade, school friends,…AKA The  Steak and Shake Gang!   

We miss your kindness, wam smiles, your political views and most of all we miss you. I’m sure you’re surrounded by our friends and family that keep you very busy.. I pray every day for your comfort and happiness in heaven.

I asked that you gather a family and watch for Rick as it needs your help again big brother!

Mike has been a cherish member of the family for over 50 years. He has always been a kind, humorous and loving man. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Jane.

Grace and I send our deepest sympathies to the entire Yaksich family a we learned about Michael’s passing this morning. We enjoyed spending time with Mike and Jane at Christmas gatherings for the past many years and enjoyed the many conversations that we shared. Mike will be sorely missed.

Kerry and I knew Mike and Jane before they were Mike & Jane. A series of events led all four of us to be working at the Jewel Foods at Granville and California. I remember helping Mike spend quality time between Saturday night store closing and having dinner with Jane with a cocktail or three at the Olive Branch. I’m sure I irritated Jane on a few occasions when Mike would invite me to join them. I stood up for Mike’s wedding and he did the same for me. Over the next 50+ years Kerry and I kept in touch with Mike and Jane and had many enjoyable meals, both at each other’s homes and various restaurants we would find. Mike was a true friend and someone who was always truly interested in how things were working out for us. We will miss him terribly but remember that he always went out of his way to make the times the four of us had together enjoyable. He was a true gentleman.

I've know Mike for over 70 years. I have a lot of memories ,none of which I will never forget.  Mike was a giving person, a quiet person. And a fun person. , I will never forget my friend.

Thanks for all the life lessons, fun, happy times and for being the best "big Brother" ever.  Don't forget to send us a sign that you made it safely to heaven!

Mike was a kind, gentle, and humble person.  He was always interested in you and what was going on in your life.  Although he was a quiet person, he always had interesting stories to tell.  I’ll miss seeing and talking with him at family gatherings.
Mike and Jane were a wonderful couple who messed perfectly together and you could see their love for each other.

So sad to hear of this great loss. Mike and Jane has always been a favorite of mine at Culver's where I worked and they dined regularly. Mike always came with a kind smile, warm hug, and encouraging parting words. Rest peacefully, angel. ❤️

Mike was the best big brother anyone could ever have. He was my protector when I was a child. He was always my friend. He never let me down when I needed something. I will love him forever.

I first met Mike years ago when my father, Wayne Thomas, invited me out to "lunch with the guys" one Thursday afternoon in 2014. Steak n shake. Mike treated me like family from the moment I met him. I got to sit around and laugh and hear stories from back in the day about my father and who he was from a different life in a different time. Mike was always kind, (relatively) soft spoken, and treated me like another one of the guys. I will not forget him nor the memories I was able to share with him in a favorite place surrounded by his favorite people. Take a rest, you earned it.

Only got to know Mike for a short time while doing a river cruise in Germany.  He was such Great gentleman. 
He and Jane have stayed in touch over all the years since that trip.  He was always smiling...always happy.  He and Jane shared a special love.  His passing will leave a void in many hearts. My deepest sympathy Jane. May he Rest in Peace.  May God comfort his family. He will forever be in your heart.

Met Mike at one of our High School Reunions. Teasing him about knowing him from Facebook. Jane and Mike had a wonderful love story sharing everything. We are never ready to loose someone we ❤️ love. Know we are here when you’re ready. It’s never the same but we get through one day at a time . Please know your in my prayers .

Mike and Jane were/are my parents’ neighbors for many years. They shared love for flowers and gardening, my mom’s favorite. Mike and Jane always helped my 90+ year old parents with anything that they needed. Mike helped with shoveling snow, watering plants, raking leaves, and much more. Mike and Jane always checked on my elderly parents when they did not see them when expected. That meant a lot to us and we are forever grateful.
Mike was a mild mannered, truly good person; he was an angel on earth. I have no doubt that he is an angel in heaven, looking over his wonderful wife Jane. They were a great example of a couple who loved and respected each other, until the very end of Mike’s life.
Mike, we already miss you🥲
