Nicolas Mihai Mociran

Nicolas was born on April 23, 1975, in Negrești-Oaș, Romania, to Mihai and Viorica Mociran. He carried his roots with pride and maintained strong ties to family and friends across borders and throughout his life.

Nick was intelligent, charming, charismatic, and adventurous, with a deep curiosity about the world. He was known for his strong presence, his energy, and his ability to leave a lasting impression on those he met. He enjoyed travel, conversation, and living life fully.

Above all, Nick loved his two sons, Alexandru and Stephan. They were his greatest pride, and his love for them was constant and deeply felt.

Nicolas is survived by his children, Alexandru and Stephan; his parents, Mihai and Viorica Mociran; his sisters, Lucy Mociran; and Pamela Salagean who is married to Gigi Salagean and their son Octavian; his children’s mother, Ancuța Mociran; as well as many loving extended family members and friends.

A visitation will be held at Drake & Son Funeral Home, located at 5303 North Western Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625, on January 18, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on January 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by the committal service at Bohemian National Cemetery, 5255 N. Pulaski Road, Chicago, IL 60630.

Even though our hearts feel heavy today, Nick’s light hasn’t dimmed. It still glows in our memories, our stories, and the love he left behind. He will always be remembered for his joyful spirit, his warmth, his laughter, and the love he had for his family. He will be deeply missed.
