Noel D. Nequin, aged 88, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026. Born on December 9, 1937 in the Philippines, Noel immigrated and established his medical career in Chicago. He was a pioneer in cardiac rehabilitation and helped many patients regain active lives after heart-related incidents. Noel is survived by his wife of 34 years, Dawn; his children, Kristoffer (Frances), Timothy, Brent, Grace and 2 stepchildren, Ashley (Jonathan) and Mallory (David); three grandchildren, Cayman, Brooklyn, Hawthorne, and 4 step grandchildren, Liam, Eleanor, Otis and Zoe. Visitation will be held on April 26, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and a funeral service on April 27, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Malec and Sons Funeral Home, 6000 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago, followed with a burial at Rosehill Cemetery in Chicago.
