Patricia Matteson Lowery

Born in 1926 in Chicago, Patricia grew up immersed in all the culture that the midwestern metropolis had to offer. She met her late husband John F. Lowery in 1959 and thus began a decades-long courtship that culminated in their marriage in 1990.

Patricia traveled the country working as model, having been photographed in magazines and newspapers, as well as walking various runway shows and even working as a movie extra. Patricia and John truly loved the finer things in life and could be found listening to classical music, opera, and Frank Sinatra, wintering in Arizona, enjoying fine dining, and especially celebrating New Year’s Eve at The Drake Hotel every year.

Preceding Patricia in death are her parents, her husband John, and her nephews Gary T. and Gregory J. Seebert.

Patricia will be missed dearly by her niece Kathleen (fiancé James Gleason), her niece-in-law Laura S. Seebert, her grand-nephew Krystian (Chi), and many close and cherished friends.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation for Patricia on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 10:00-11:30 AM at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, 60625. A funeral mass will then take place at noon at St. Padre Pio Parish, 5601 N California Avenue, Chicago, IL 60659. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in River Grove, IL.
