Dear Julie,  I just read on Frank Robert's facebook page about Peter's passing.  I thoroughly enjoyed working with such a positive spirit who loved theatre.  I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Sunday's masses were always more livelier with trying to get Grant and Peter to behave. One time I'm correcting Grant for acting up during mass with Peter when he replied that Peter had started it. I would turn around to get the other story and to see Julie shaking her head up and down that it was true, Peter did start it first and Peter shaking no, it was Grant.
I know that was one of reasons that got Grant to mass so he see and talk to Peter. Grant knew with Peter sitting right behind him that he would soon be reminded that he was and it was up to Julie and I to try to get them to behave.
Mass will never be the same without you and you are missed.

Peter taught me all there was to know about the restaurant business. Without him and his family's help, I wouldn't made it where I am today. He was loving and excepting of everyone and always made you feel like you were important. He was very loved and will be greatly missed.

Our days at Austin Hi were loaded with fun, I'm saddened that you are gone.

I just received word of Peter's passing.  I am in shock.  He was like on older brother to me.  I have nothing but wonderful memories of working at P.B. Verdico.  He was a wonderful boss, full of life and laughter.  We shared 20 great years together. Love you all

Peter was one of those rare people, when you first met him, you felt you had known him your entire life.  He was quick to laughter, had a smile that could light up the darkest room, and a heart bigger than Texas.  We are all so fortunate to have found a rare gem as Peter in our lives.
May God bless and heal your aching hearts at this difficult time, as we are all hurting with you, that were fortunate enough to know Peter.

What do you say about a great guy.  We met Pete and Julie through my sister and brother-in-law. They came to our family functions and were welcomed and loved.  Pete sang to Jan at her 40th birthday party. We will miss Pete. Our love and prayers go out to Julie and family.

I am honored to have known and worked with Peter.  I will forever hold dear our last show together, just last summer. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.  HE will never be forgotten.

The theatre community around Chicago was a much better place thanks in part to Peter and all of his hard work and dedication... I am grateful to have known Peter, and to have had a chance to catch up with him earlier this year...   My thoughts are with all of his family and friends - he was a dear man and will be missed...

Peter was such a strong gentle giant. He will forever be my 2nd "Dad". I loved him and am eternally grateful for 16 wonderful years of friendship, mentorship and theatre memories. As a cancer survivor, I live my life in honor of those that this horrible disease has taken from us. He lived life so fully and left such a legacy. I am grateful that Peter's suffering is over.  I am sorry we didn't get to play on stage together one more time in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, but I know he will be watching in the wings wearing wings!  Good night, sweet prince, and may flights of angels guide thee to thy rest.

I can't begin to express how sorry and sadden I am to hear of Peter's passing. I will never forget the afternoon I spent on the phone with Peter talking about Drowsy during rehearsal. We talked for such a long time, and yet it flew by.  He made me laugh, made me mad, made me proud to know him and always was a bright light during Drowsy.  I loved his laugh and as I remember our little phone call, I can hear his laugh, clear as day.  Julie, Lori and Catherine, I'm, again, so sorry for your loss and all of ours. You are in my prayers and Peter's laugh, is in my heart.

Julie, Lori, and Catherine, words can"t begin to express the sorrow in our hearts right now, and you and the rest of your family are constantly in our thoughts and prayers during these difficult times.  The world is a better place for having had Peter in it, and we, better people for having been fortunate enough to have him be a part of our lives.  We will miss him and think about him every day for the rest of our lives, but we will try to take solace in the fact that he will be right there, front and center, cheering us on, every time the curtain goes up, from now, until it's time for our final curtain call.

So sorry to hear of Peter's passing.  Truly enjoyed working with him in "Music Man" with Light Opera Works a few years back, and I remember him as a consummate profressional, talented performer, and a genuinely kind person.  Condolences.

Although I have not spoken with Peter for some time I must say he was a great boss and mentor and I still think of him daily.  I am truly sorry for the loss and please know the family is in our hearts and prayers.

I have only know Peter for a very short time and learned how much he lived life to its fullest. His wonderful stories of the plays he did kept us laughing through tough moments. My heart goes out to his wonderful wife Julie and his family.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

What words are there to describe Peter? He was outgoing to be sure; he was sharp and confident, a man who understood how the world worked. He was also a loving and caring man, with his own sense of style, who was quick to laugh and loved to sing and dance. My husband and Peter were friends, finding each other over a piano bar singing oldies many years ago. It was instantly cool and fun and I remember when George came home and told me about this “great guy” he met and how much they enjoyed singing together. I was told I “had to meet his wife”…. and the rest is history. We became couples who were friends and loved spending time together. I know how very much Peter will be missed by Julie, his children, family and friends. I am deeply saddened by the loss of this very dear man and, in his memory, Tito Merelli will always have a very special place in my heart.
