So sorry first of all I just found out about her passing 9 months later. She was a wonderful compassionate talented woman and it's a great loss of the world. She really cared about people and animals. Very religious but not judgmental. In closing I just wish I hadn't lost her friendship and had been able to make amends with her. Also how sad I am for her family and people still in her life for their terrible loss.

Very saddened to hear Phyllis has left us at such a young age. A truly vibrant and kind person. As a colleague at Rush I would spend a lot of time chatting with Phyllis about current events, work, politics, history, science, you name it. Phyllis was a dynamic conversationalist and a thoughtful associate. I offer my sincere condolences to her family and close friends. Rest in peace Phyllis.

Our condolences go out to Ami, Chris, Paul and Cheryl on losing their beloved Phyllis. I only knew Phyllis for a short time when she moved in next door in order to take care of her mother. I enjoyed our short talks on her porch and I was able to play out in the yard with her dogs. I only wished I got to know Phyllis better as I found out we have much in common. Phyllis was a writer, like myself, but she did something most writers never get to do, she wrote a book. What I have learned from our short time together is that you cannot take life for granted. Enjoy every day as if it will be your last. This is not goodbye, as I think of losing my own parents, but until we meet again.

So saddened to hear about Phyllis' passing.  She had such a bright personality and anyone who knew her would know the love she had for her family, her fur babies and her White Sox!  Rest in peace, dear Phyllis.  Extending my warm condolences to her family.

Cousin!!!! I can’t believe you are gone.  I will miss our crazy sense of humor of who is going to marry A.J Pierzynski or Dan Hampton.  I will miss your selfie smile on social media.  I will miss you.

I met and knew Phyllis through Rush University Medical Center.   She was ALWAYS so kind, polite, lovely and very helpful.  She will be missed.

My heart is so saddened to hear of Cookie’s passing. I was a longtime friend of her Mom Louise. Over the years we got together only once with Louise and Cookie taking her to the old neighborhood for a reunion. I was constantly in touch with Cookie as she was Louise’s caregiver.  My thoughts and prayers for both of them. Now Cookie is with her Dad Nick and her Mom in Heaven. She was a beautiful girl inside and out.

Phyllis, it’s so hard to believe this happened to you. You were such a beautiful person inside and out and you will always be remembered that way. You have touched so many peoples lives in such a positive way. You will be missed terribly!  Ami and Paul my love strength and prayers are with you all. RIP sweet Phyllis. Thank you for being a friend and inspiration!

Phyllis will be missed. But a silver lining around a dark cloud is that in a life cut too short she got to see every Chicago sports team win a championship. Not that she cared if the Cubs won.
