

Pierina Piva, born in Casarsa Italy in 1916. Beloved daughter to the late Giovanni and Rosa Cesarin. Married Angelo Piva in 1936 and came to the United States via Canada to raise their three daughters. Pierina, 94, has left this earth to again be with her husband, the late Angelo. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Frances Piva, Louise (Tony) Griffin, Angela (Larry) Oetjens; her dearest grandchildren, Pamela (John) Fuit, Bill (Sue) Gee, Bob (Carmela) Gee, Sandra (Wayne) Dixon, Dan (Maya) Gee, Michelle (Will Smoley) Griffen; her treasured great-grandchildren, John (Kristina) Fuit Jr., Eric (Jennifer) Fuit, Davit Fuit, Bob Gee Jr., Kayla Fuit, Madison Gee, Kendal Gee, Melana Gee, Michael Gee, Ian Dixon, Cole Dixon, Juliana Gee, Will Dixon, and her precious great- great granddaughter, Ava Gee. Pierina was the dear sister to Irida, Elia, Liliana (Piero) Caforia, Maria, Giana, Gianutti, and the late Elda and the late Elsa and was the beloved neice of Carmela Cesarin, beloved "cuzina" to many and "Zia" to numerous nieces and nephews residing in Canada and Italy. Although age prevented her from doing the things she once loved; sewing, gardening, and cooking for family, she enjoyed visiting with family and friends, sharing memories of days gone by. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her during her lifetime. Funeral Monday, 9:45 a.m. from Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 W.
