Ralph E. Cruz Ralph E. Cruz, 67, a Vietnam War veteran, was the beloved husband of Laura (nee Macaltao); proud father of Omar (Kim), Marlo (Raquel), Arnaldo and Cassandra; cherished grandfather of Elly; loving son of Margarita (nee Gonzalez) and the late Rafael; dear brother of Ivette (Emilio) Fanfan and Nelson; and beloved uncle and cousin of many. Mr. Cruz was a prominent businessman within the Puerto Rican Community. He will lie in state Thursday, March 1, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of at funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Aloysius Church, 2300 W. LeMoyne, Chicago. Visitation is Wednesday, 4 to 9 p.m. at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago. Entombment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
