Resfa Irene Mickey, age 81, passed on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. She was born September 19, 1936 in Colombia SA, the daughter of Jose Antonio Giraldo Lopez and Ana Eva Gonzalez Sepulveda. She is the beloved wife of the late William Mickey, loving mother of Jaime (Stephanie) Zea, Maria (Todd) Palmer, and John (Nancy) Zea. Cherished grandmother to John, Jordan, Will, Anthony, Andrew, Alex, Vontae, Julian and Aidan. Loving sister-in-law to Sue (Dick) Lerwick. Caring sister, aunt, and friend to many. Irene loved to sew, quilt and knit and shared her creations with her family and friends. She was never more proud than when she was caring for and visiting with her grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL with a memorial service at 12:00 noon.
Memorial donations may be made to any charity that serves the elderly.
