Ricardo Sena Pascual II, age 89, passed away peacefully on the evening of April 18, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. In a final act of quiet devotion, he seemed to wait until he was home with his beloved wife before entering into eternal rest.
Born on May 7, 1936, Ricardo was the beloved son of Ricardo Pascual and Agripina Pascual. As the eldest son, he carried a deep sense of responsibility and devotion to his family throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ricardo Pascual III (Telo) and Ricardo Pascual IV (Tito). He is survived by his sister, Ellen Pascual Demoss.
Ricardo was a devoted husband to Elvira Pascual (Nee Mendoza), with whom he built a life centered on love and family. He was a proud and loving father to Erwin Mendoza Pascual and Cynthia Pascual Narut, and a cherished grandfather to Oscar Pascual Narut and Zoe Noelle Narut, who brought him immense joy and pride.
Ricardo dedicated his professional life to public service as an accountant for the Chicago Housing Authority. He carried out his work with diligence, integrity, and humility, quietly contributing to the well-being of the Chicago community until his retirement. In his retirement, he remained active and engaged, owning and managing multiple rental properties with the same care, discipline, and sense of responsibility that defined his career.
In his later years, Ricardo faced the challenges of chronic kidney and heart disease with strength and resilience. Through his journey, including dialysis treatments, he remained supported by the love of his family.
Ricardo had a lively and unmistakable sense of humor and was a natural storyteller. He loved to joke, tease, and bring laughter into the room, often sharing stories that drew people in and stayed with them long after. He had a way of lightening the mood, using humor and storytelling to make others feel at ease, even in difficult moments.
He will be remembered for his steady presence, strong sense of responsibility, lively humor, and unwavering love for his family. We take comfort in knowing he is now at peace.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 24 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Drake & Son Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, April 25, at Queen of Angels Church at 12:30pm, followed by inurnment at Rosehill Cemetery.
