Robert Edward Strach, a beloved and devoted individual, entered eternal life on February 9, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on October 27, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, Robert was known for his generous and humorous nature.
Robert was a loving husband to the late Kathleen nee Greco. He was a devoted father to Cynthia (Anthony) Fera, Steven (Christine) Strach, Edward (Loni) Strach, and Constance (John) Doyle. As an adoring grandfather, he cherished his grandchildren: Kara (Mitch) Stiltner, Nathaniel (Brenda) Strach, Nicholas (Shana) Strach, Timothy (Sjalynn) Doyle, Michael Fera, Kevin Doyle, Rachel Fera, Sophie Doyle, Tyler Strach, Natalie Strach, and Alexander Fera. He was also the most adoring great-grandfather to Gavin and Mason Stiltner, Eli, Hazel, and Weston Strach. Robert shared a caring companionship with Karen Wojcik and was the dear son of the late Edward and Jean Strach, as well as a beloved brother.
Robert had a passion for Cuckoo Clocks, the Chicago Bears, the Chicago Cubs, and old movies. He dedicated his career to serving as a United States Postal Service Mail Carrier.
Visitation will be held at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, located at 6901 West Belmont Ave, Chicago, IL 60634, on February 13, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. A Celebration of Life will follow at the same venue from 11:00 am to 11:30 am. The Committal and Entombment will take place at Mount Olive Cemetery & Mausoleum, 3800 N Narragansett Avenue, Chicago, IL 60634, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
Robert's life was a testament to love, laughter, and dedication, and he will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
