Silvestro "Cesare" Frangella

Silvestro "Cesare" Frangella passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on May 23, 2025 at the age of 88. Beloved Husband of the late Ersilia, nee Piccola, for a loving 45 years. Loving Father of Antonella (Martin) Frangella-Quinn, and Debora (Giancarlo) Frangella-Rallo, and the late Giovanna (Martin) Frangella-Koning. Proud Grandfather of Brianna (Thomas) Burns, Marten Koning, and Alex Koning; Brendan (Ally) Quinn, Nicholas Quinn, and Kyle Quinn; Carlo Rallo, and Joey Rallo. Cherished Son of the late Carimino and Giovanna. Dear Brother of Settimio, and Yolanda, and the late Mafalda, Ersilia, Maria, Lina, and Antonietta. Uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Silvestro was born in San Lucido, Calabria, Italy, and immigrated to the United States in 1966. He was an avid deer hunter and will be remembered for his work ethic in his career as an auto mechanic.

A Visitation for Silvestro will take place Friday, May 30, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Andrew J. McGann and Son Funeral Home, 10727 S. Pulaski Rd. Chicago, IL 60655. Funeral to directly follow Visitation, proceeding to Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 9525 Lawndale Ave, Evergreen Park, IL 60805, for the Mass of Christian Burial celebrated promptly at 12:00 PM. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Alsip, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Silvestro's name to the American Cancer Society.
