Susan Dush died after a long illness on November 6, 2023, at the age of seventy-nine. Susan was born and raised in Kingston, NY, and spent most of her life in East Greenbush, NY. She attended Mildred Elley secretarial school and in her mid-30s returned to the College of Saint Rose to pursue an undergraduate degree. She had a twenty-seven-year career at the New York State Assembly in Albany. Susan was a lifelong reader, and in her retirement enjoyed antiquing and spending time on Cape Cod.
Susan's husband of over fifty years, George Dush, Jr., predeceased her in 2018.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa Dush, her daughter-in-law, Lee Hart, and her grandsons Jesse and Louis Dush-Hart.
Private services will be held. Donations in Susan's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Association, or the Albany Symphony Orchestra.
