Funeral service for Reverend C. (Connie) Alvin Taylor, age 81, of Childersburg will be Friday, July 22, 2011 at 11AM at the Fire of Pentecost UPC with the Reverend Perry Wells and Reverend Robert Hall officiating. Burial will be in Elliott Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Maxon, Virgil and Billy Taylor; sisters: Nellie Ruth Taylor and Lisa Jane Wood and his parents. Rev. Taylor served in ministry for 40 years. He loved and embraced the Acts 2:38 message and shared the love of Jesus with everyone he met. He was the founding pastor of Fire of Pentecost United Pentecostal Church and served faithfully until the end. He is survived by his Wife of 60 years: Virginia Parker Taylor of Childersburg, Son: Rev.TimTaylor and wife Lisa of Sylacauga, Daughter: athy Taylor Johns of Childersburg, Grandchildren: randon (Christina) and Chris (Rachel) Fleming Emily and Alyssa Taylor, Great Grandchildren: Peyton,Collin, Madison, Caleb, Makayla and Cameron, Brother: Gem Mac Taylor of Vandiver and Sister: Faye McInnish of Ashland.Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersburg Chapel will direct the services.
