Dorothy Christine Kidd

Dorothy is survived by her son Steve Kidd (Debbi); her daughters Sharon McNay (Tim) and Marsha Lake (Scott); her brother Tom Cleckler (Sherry), her sisters-in-law Faye Cox of Texas, Lynette Gilbert of Thomasville, AL and Shelia Kidd of Birmingham, AL; her grandchildren Stephanie Curran (Brendan), Allie McNay, Colin McNay, Hannah Rowe (Shea), Sarah Railey, Olivia Railey, and Jacob Swain, her great grandchildren Kaia Curran, Bohannon Rowe, and Paisley Rowe and her many Nieces and Nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years John C. Kidd; her father Eugene Cleckler and her mother Gracie Cleckler.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 2:30 PM. Dorothy will be laid to rest in Greenhill Memorial Gardens. All services will be officiated by Rev. Ronnie Forbus.

Serving as pallbearers are Shea Rowe, Brendan Curran, Tim McNay, Mike Jones, Boo Jinks, Ben Nelson and Jimmy Taylor.

The family will be receiving flowers or in lieu of flowers, contributions in Dorothy's memory may be made to First Baptist Church of Childersburg.

Dorothy was a loving wife, daughter, and mother. She was devoted to her family and church family. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Childersburg since she was eight. She served as a Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School teacher, member of the choir, Ladies Ensemble, member of the Ladies WMU, Girl's Acteen Mission leader and member of XYZ.
