Ernest Eugene Reynolds

Mr. Ernest Eugene Reynolds age 86 of Vincent, Al passed away on December 7, 2011 at his residence. Funeral Services for Mr. Reynolds will be on Saturday December 10, 2011 at the Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel at 11AM. Visitation will be on Friday December 9, 2011 from 5:30-8PM at the Childersburg Chapel. Burial will be in Elloitt Cemetery. Survivors are his wife of 66 years; Evelyn McClinton Reynolds of Vincent, Al. Daughters; Glenda (Bill) Vick of Wilsonville, Al, Janice (Roger) Jacobs of Vincent, Al. Grandchildren; Dana Davis, Darla (Jim) Howell, Darren (Kathy) Vick, Brandon (Cindy) Salser. Great Grandchildren; Christopher (Joni) Griffin, Lauren Davis, Caleb Vick, Cory Vick, Chloe Vick, Jessica Howell, Hannah Salser, Caiden Salser. Preceded in death by his parents; Willis and Jenny Mae Reynolds,; Brothers; Frazer and Oliver Reynolds; Sisters Jewel Walker, Jaunita Justice, Ruth Wiley Justice, Bernice Portier (Twin sister). and Daughter; Bonnie Reynolds Sims. Mr. Reynolds served honorably during WWII in the U.S. Army. After being discharged this Georgia boy made his way to Vincent, Al to finally meet the lovely young lady that he had been corresponding with for over a year to ask for her hank in marriage. A love story that lasted for 66 years. He was employed with U.S. Steel in Fairfield, Al and retired after 33 years of service with the company. He loved to fish and enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball. We will always be blessed by the presence of this wonderful man in our lives and we will hold the memories he lift and the stories he shared forever in our hearts and minds. Pallbearers will be Brandon Salser, Darren Vick, Caleb Vick, Cory Vick, Larry Littlefield, Antony Taylor. Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel will direct the service.
