Mildred Estelle Rogers

Mrs. Mildred Estelle Rogers age 102 of Childersburg passed away on June 1, 2013 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. Funeral Services for Mrs. Rogers will be on Thursday June 6, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Childersburg at 2PM. Visitation will be on Wednesday June 5, 2013 from 6-8PM at the Childersburg Chapel. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery. Dr. John Beck will be Officiating the service. Pallbearers are Marc Billingsley, Hunter Billingsley, Greg Connell, Drew Connell, Matt Connell, Jordan Connell, Clark Jinks, Terry Jinks. Survivors are Daughters: Bobby Sue Green Ogle and Husband Billy Joe, Mary Frances Connell and Husband Kenneth, Son; James R. Rogers and wife Mary Jane, Son-in-law; Gerome Henson. 13 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, 6 Great Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Rogers was born on February 9, 1911 in Emmett, Arkansas to the late Ellery H. and Henrietta Hood and was preceded in death by her husband; Marcus F. Rogers; son; Marcus E. Rogers; daughter; Freida Mae Henson and sister;Myrtle Cook. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Childersburg and loved working with the youth of the church, she was a member of the XYZ Club and loved traveling with them and really enjoyed sewing. Curtis and Son Funeral Home Childersbug Chapel will direct the service.
