Funeral service for Phillip Terry "PaPa Smurf" Black Sr., age 72, of Sylacauga will be Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 2PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel with the Reverend James Beam officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery. He attended Westside Church of God in Sylacauga, was a native of Sylacauga and employed at National Standard. He is survived by his wife: Alma Jean Black of Sylacauga; Son: Phillip T. Black Jr. of Sylacauga; Daughter: Frances Michelle “Missy” Black of Sylacauga; Brothers: Douglas Black of Sylacauga, Badie Black Jr. of Sylacauga and Sister: Pat Bierley of Alexander City. Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel will direct the services.
