Wendell "Ronnie" Rodney Akin

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Shelia Akin; his daughter Candace Akin-Allen (Walter); his daughter Teresa Watson-Edge (Ronnie); and his daughter Penny Finn; his brother Charles Akin (Janet); his granddaughter Mikayla Cook, his grandson Anthony "TyTy" Akin, his grandson Raven Smith, his grandson Dustin Pressley, his granddaughter Shae Harper, his granddaughter Paige Matheson-Hughes (Shane), his great grandson Ethan Pressley and his great grandson Joel Hughes.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his daughter Sonya Akin; his father Charles Akin Sr. and his mother Erma Akin; his sister Patricia Reeves.

A visitation for Ronnie will be held Friday, October 31, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, Childersburg, Alabama. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Green Hill Memorial Gardens, Childersburg, AL .
