Abe was born on March 10, 1936, and he immigrated to Canada from Paraguay in his early years. He settled in Greendale where he learned the art of farming. He married Erika (nee Fast) and together they worked hard on their dairy farm and raised four beautiful children before retiring to Majuba Hill in Yarrow.
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to such an amazing man.
Abe is survived by is loving wife Erika of 59 years, daughter Diana (Hans), daughter Christine (Ron), daughter Betty (Bob), son Bruce (Pam); grandchildren, Jonathan (Phaine), Daniel (Laura). Mathew (Danielle), Mandy (Nick), Tamara (Tyler), Colton (Alycia), Kiana, Jake, Dylan and Skylar; as well as great grandchildren Lana, Archer, Sawyer, Layla, Alex, Ella, Scotlyn and Jacob and many other extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Maria Hildebrandt (nee Dyck).
He was a man with a big heart and was often referred to as the gentle giant. He will be missed by all who knew him.
