Audrey was born in Vedder Crossing, BC to Henry and Mary Wiebe on April 27, 1937. She had a happy childhood raised on a farm with cows, chickens and berry fields. She was a tomboy who enjoyed baseball and driving the tractor.
Audrey met her first husband Ernie Rehder in Oceans Falls, BC and they married in Fort St John, BC on October 17, 1964. Ernie, a machinist, received a call to come to the newly built Northwood Pulp and Paper mill and so they moved to Prince George, BC in May 1966. Here they raised 4 children together: Doreen Mary, Evelyn Anna(Anne Marie), Beatrice Barbara and David Ernst. Mom welcomed her children's’ spouses into the family and was the proud and loving Grandma/Oma to 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
After 38 years of marriage, Ernie passed away December 7, 2002 and a year later Audrey moved back to her home town of Chilliwack, BC. It was here that she met and married Ward Rowan on November 25, 2006. They were married for 9 years until Ward's passing on August 8, 2016.
Audrey lived her whole life serving her Saviour Jesus Christ. She prayed daily for her family and always shared her faith with those around her. She studied God's word, memorizing many passages of scripture. A scripture most precious to Audrey:
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4: 6-7
