David Loewen

David Loewen was born to Heinrich and Elizabeth Loewen on the 17th of July 1937 in Foxwarren, Manitoba. He was the 8th child in a family of 12 children. He had many playmates while growing up. In 1941 when David was four years old, the family moved to Yarrow BC where they continued to farm. He attended school in Yarrow as well as Sumas Prairie. He married Agnes Braun on Sep 21, 1957, in Yarrow. They then settled in Richmond BC where they were blessed with 5 children, Randall David (1958), Sandra Dawn (1960), Janet Wendy (1961), Lisa Doreen (1965) and Christine Tracy (1969). Janet went home to be with the Lord on the 6th of March 1964. The family moved to Chilliwack in 1968 where David pursued a farming career in Raspberries and laying hens. They eventually sold the farm and he decided to sell Real Estate and residential house construction. He loved fishing, woodworking, traveling and later in life he started painting.

David loved his children, 8 Grandchildren and 8 Grant Grandchildren and he would mention all their names in prayer as he wanted the best for them. David loved life, he loved Jesus, and his church family. He was an amazing husband and father. He will be missed dearly by all the family.

As per the family wishes he will be cremated. A memorial will be held at the Chilliwack Alliance Church on Friday April 19, 2024, at 1:30.
