Donald Nelson Addley

Donnie Addley (Feb 7, 1980 – May 5, 2021)

Our beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, nephew & friend has passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind his mother, Vickie Legere; father, Don Addley, sisters Patience Addley & Tessa Boyd; daughters, Moth (Nevaeh) Addley & Tessa Weaver; granddaughter, Enola; niece, Lyric Addley; his little dog, Daisy, aunts & uncles, and a lifetime’s worth of friends.

Donnie lived and loved intensely and from a small child, he would always offer care & shelter to ‘the birds with the broken wings.’ Loving Donnie, whether as family or friend was an unforgettable experience.

Donnie was amazing at whatever he set his mind & hands to. He ran his framing business, Addley Construction out of Surrey – he could build or fix just about anything. He was a self-taught musician, playing guitar, keyboard & drums, and a visual artist as well. He studied to be a sound technician at the Art Institute in Vancouver, earning a Merit Award for outstanding achievement in 2012.

Donnie’s adventures were usually epic – he loved being out in nature; camping and spending time at the Fraser River with family and friends were some of his happiest times.

We will always remember those good times.

Rest in Peace, Donnie Addley – the world will not be the same without you!

Condolences, stories etc. may be added to the online obituary at Henderson’s Funeral Home, Chilliwack. There will be a private Celebration of Life once pandemic restrictions are eased.
