Elizabeth "Betty" Rose Hess

years old. Mom died as she lived - gently, gracefully, and with more concern for those around her than for herself. She touched many people with her kindness and ready smile. She has already left a huge hole in our hearts that will never be filled.

She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred, her parents Stanley and Pauline Tkatch, sister Loretta Machula, brothers Harold, Gerry, and Ron Tkatch, Wilfred’s parents Carl and Adele Hess, brother-in-law Seig Heuchert, and nieces Doreen, Sheila, and Lisa.

Betty is survived by her daughter Carol (Bruce), son Craig, and grandson Brandon along with sister Julia Yachiw (Jim), brother

Tom Tkatch (Mary), sisters-in-law Trudy Morrison (Jim), Elsie Heuchert, Jean Tkatch, Audrey Tkatch, Leona Burton (Barry),

and Bernice Tkatch, and brothers-in-law Leon Machula and Erwin Hess (Linda). There are many, many nieces and nephews,

cousins, work colleagues, and friends she left behind, including the Grant family, who she adopted as her own more than 30

years ago. They grieve for her as deeply as we do.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 30th at 1:00 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Chilliwack. If you’d like to
