Dale was born on December 9th, 1955 in Vanderhoof BC where he was born and raised alongside his five brothers and two sisters. He served in the army in 1974. He became a father in 1982 and again in 1983. He was married in 1986 and they raised their two children in Vanderhoof BC while working in the logging industry. When Dale wasn’t working, he could be found outdoors spending his time hunting, fishing, at the beach in the Okanagan or puttering on his sawmill. In his younger years he enjoyed drawing, making flower arrangements at the flower shop and fuelling his hobby of taxidermy. After his children grew up and moved away he spent all of his free time travelling to Chilliwack and Lake Country to spend time with his kids and grandsons with Thor by his side. While Dale loved working with his hands and being outside, he also had a passion for classic vehicles, which he instilled his love for in his son and grandsons.
Dale was predeceased by his father, Frederick, brothers, Glen, Teddy and Russ, and sister, Karen. He is survived by his mother, June, daughter, Krista, son, Michael (Amanda), grandsons, Jaxon, Walker and Maddix, sister, Brenda, brothers, Ron and Mike, and many nieces and nephews. Dale made a large impact on everyone he met and will be missed by many.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
