Frederik (Frank) Kloot
At the age of 92 years
Frank was born in Ede, the Netherlands, on December 19, 1932 and passed away in the Chilliwack General Hospital on May 20, 2025. Frank was the second youngest of eleven children born to Willem and Janna Kloot-Boers. He immigrated to Canada together with his lifelong friend, Jan van Leeuwen in October of 1951. He first worked in Ontario before heading west to British Columbia, working in the logging industry in the Fraser Canyon, before settling in Chilliwack. Frank and his wife Jacoba (nee van den Brink) were married in Chilliwack on August 6, 1954 and together purchased a dairy farm on Prairie Central Road where he farmed for his entire life. They were blessed with 6 sons.
Survived by his dear wife of over 70 years Jacoba, his sons Jim(Alma), Alfred, of Chilliwack and Don (Caroline) of Lethbridge, AB, his daughter-in-law Kim Veldman of Coaldale, AB, his 14 grandchildren, Brandon (Cindy), Jordan (Amy), Chad (Angela), Cody (Kori), Cayden (Jolene), Jeff, Michelle, Bert (Leny), Dariann(Kyle), Dustin (Brittany), Sara, Hailey, Jesse and Justin, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Also survived by two sisters Ans van Beek and Jopie Breunissen of Kesteren, the Netherlands, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Henny van den Brink, Ineke van den Brink, Willy Terpstra, Dianne van den Brink, Evelyn Wierks, Alice Kloot, George and Wilma van den Brink, Bert and Wendy van den Brink, Gerry and Carol van den Brink, all of Chilliwack.
Frank was predeceased by 3 of his sons Bert (1965) John (2003) and Robert (2009), his parents Willem and Janna Kloot, parents in law Bertus and Johanna van den Brink, 3 brothers, 5 sisters, and numerous brother in laws and sister in laws.
An opportunity to extend condolences to the family will be held on Monday evening, May 26, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Henderson's Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Ave, Chilliwack, BC.
A funeral service will be held the following day, May 27, 2025 at 10 am from the chapel of Henderson's Funeral Homes with Rev. Otto M. van der Tang officiating.
Interment to follow at Chilliwack Cemeteries located at 10010 Hillcrest Dr, Chilliwack, BC.
Pallbearers will be Jordan Kloot, Cody Kloot, Bert Kloot, Dustin Kloot, Justin Kloot and Jesse Kloot.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Kloot, Alfred Kloot, Don Kloot, Chris Kloot and Harry van Hemert.
