Geraldine, "Geri" Rae Stammers was no different than the gardens she planted. She was bold, free, resilient and creative. However, even in the most resilient gardens, there is a time for growth and a time for rest. On January 16th, 2023, Geraldine came to rest in her home in Chilliwack BC at the age of 83.
Geri was born on December 4th,1939 to Beatrice and Albert Brown, in Oak Bank MB. Throughout her life Geri shared many beautiful memories with her siblings: Joan, Dale & Cindy and their spouses Larry, Carol and Eddie.
Geri is survived by her husband of 55 years David, her four children: Kimm, Debbie, Cheryl and Kimberly, nieces and nephews, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Always one to forge her own path, Geri valued family and had a deep love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She often nurtured her creative mind by diving into crochet, quilting, stained glass and gardening.
For most people who knew her, Geri will be remembered as a woman with a strong mind, great golf swing, a "can do" attitude and above all, a dedicated, proud and loving wife, mother, sister, nana, great nana and friend.
Geri was so many things to so many people. Her laugh, her smile and loving memories will live on. May God give her soul eternal peace. A celebration of life will be organized Spring 2023.
"I keep in my heart the love of the past, for there it was planted forever to last."
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.woodlawn-mtcheam.ca for the Stammers family.
