Hazel Mary Measor

March 23, 1926 – October 21, 2020

Hazel passed away peacefully at Menno Home in Abbotsford where she was residing. Predeceased by husband, Harold, infant daughter Valerie Isobel, mom Bertha Cozzubbo (Nee Fortems), dad Agatino Joseph. Sister Margaret, Brother Donald She is survived by sister Yvonne (Morgan), brother Allan, Sons

Ron (Dianne), Randy (Maureen), daughter Rosalie (Jerry). 5 Grandchildren, 4 great Grandchildren.

She was born in Calgary March 23, 1926, Married Harold Davison Measor on August 23, 1947 in Calgary. Harold was in the army which took the family wherever he was stationed. They saw a lot of Germany, Holland, France Paris, and Japan. Many adventures, and many special keepsakes from their travels.

They bought a 18 acre Farm in Greendale (outside Chilliwack). We enjoyed 17 years there. Mom was passionate about gardens, the menagerie of animals we had, looking after all the fruit trees and taking care of three kids. Many sports practices early in the am,even though she worked 10 hours a day at the local cannery, she was always willing to drive us to everything, including the hospital on many occasions. Later when she moved to a condo in downtown Chilliwack she was involved teaching line dancing, and volunteering at a thrift store.

She was a special, generous kind soul, and the best mom we could have asked for. May she Rest in Peace at a farm in heaven. Love you forever mom and we wouldn’t be here today if it was not for your love, support and guidance. Miss You.
