It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Heather, Mom, and Grammy. Heather Lynn Harris passed, quietly and comfortably, on March 4th, 2026, in the Cascade Hospice located in Chilliwack, BC, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on August 22nd, 1958 in Claresholm, AB, Heather lived a full, but too short, 67 years, consistently offering her friends and family support, kindness, and love. Always concerned for the well-being of others (especially her furry companions), Heather could often be found volunteering at the local animal shelter, or walking her "Shelties" along the paths in Agassiz and Chilliwack.
Heather lost her sudden and unexpected battle with Lymphoma, leaving behind her devoted husband, Barry; brother, Jim; children, Jason (Melissa), Brad (Lindsey), Melanie, and Robert (Jason); and grandchildren, Aletheia, Emery, Briar, Arwen, Jace, Madison, Avery, and Emmy.
She was pre-deceased by her father and mother, James and Shirley McKinnon.
Heather will be remembered for her immense heart and empathy, and bringing joy and grace into the lives of all that she touched.
