Born on October 4, 1940, in Wadena, Saskatchewan, Helen—known to many as Hannah—lived a full and loving life. She will be remembered for her strength, kindness, and the deep love she held for her family.
Helen is survived by her devoted husband, Douglas Davie; her son, William George McLeod (Sarah Churchman); her grandson, Shaun Churchman; her brother, George Sheloff (Brent); and her sister, Betty Agren; stepchildren, Jamey Douglas Davie, and Kelly Jayne Ballard (Cris).
Before retiring, Helen worked as the Manager of the Best Western Rainbow Country Inn Beer and Wine Store, where she was known for her professionalism and warm presence. She was a longtime member of the Chilliwack United Church, and more recently of Cheam View United Church.
A dedicated fan of Canadian football, Helen proudly held season tickets with the B.C. Lions. She was also a proud and active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Daughters of the Nile, and PEO Chapter “R”—organizations that reflected her lifelong values of community, service, and fellowship.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jan Kroeze for many years of compassionate care, to her caregiver and dear friend Angie Martin, and to the dedicated doctors and nurses on the second floor of the Chilliwack General Hospital.
