Howard was born November 8, 1934 in Leroy Saskatchewan where he lived until he moved to Quill Lake Saskatchewan with his wife, and his first two children were born.
They moved to Burnaby in 1957, where he worked for Sauder Lumber for most of his career, and his third child was born. He finished his career at Windsor Plywood, at head office as well as his own store in Duncan BC.
His greatest love was his family and was a wonderful husband to his wife Catherine, who passed away in 2008. He was also the best father to his 3 children, and a grandfather who was very involved with his grandchildren. They all loved him so much. He was always there for friends and family and was very kind and loved to make everyone laugh. He also loved sports, but mostly the Vancouver Canucks! His love of hockey was passed on to his kids and grandchildren.
He will be dearly missed by his children, Wendy (Karl), Randy (Deana) and Brent (Judy),
Grandchildren Sean, Darren, Tammy, Jennifer, Kevin, Sydney. He also had 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Many thanks to all the wonderful staff at Agassiz Seniors Community who cared so well for him.
A celebration of life for Howard will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 1:30 PM at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home and Crematorium LTD, 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack, BC V2P1B5.
