It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mom, gram and granny Irene Stevenson at Cascade Lodge one month after celebrating her 98th birthday.
She was born in Delburne, Alberta, eldest child of Charles and Orpha Culham and arrived with her family in 1920 to Fairfield Island.
Survived by her daughter Wanda of Chilliwack, son Don of Montreal, grandchildren Lynne, Eliot (Christine), Todd (Marie), Kelly and Sarah, great-grandchildren Alexandra, Kale and Mackenzie and sister Phyllis Nelson of Kamloops and many nieces and nephews.
She is pre-deceased by sisters Dorothy Abramson and Edna Carey and brothers-in-law Herb Carey and Lyle Nelson.
We thank the nursing, care and activity staff at Cascade Lodge and Dr. Bartel for the wonderful care and fun provided over the past four years and especially for the loving comfort given our family and Irene in her final days.
By request there will be no service.
