With great sadness and loss we share the passing of John George Dixon. After a courageous battle with cancer, John passed September 22, 2017 in Chilliwack hospital. John gave his heart and soul to family, and his precious gift of sight by donating his eyes. John was described as a gentle man with a soft heart. He enjoyed family and friend gatherings. John cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren.This showed by the sparkling in his eyes when he was with them. He was especially fond of camping and fishing with his brother Dwayne. When John was asked in his final weeks, what was important to him. Answer , Family. A lesson learnt here: Cherish your family.
John is lovingly remembered by : his daughter Tracey, his son Dion (Carrie), his son Randy, his step daughter Jennifer.
His grandchildren: Kayla, Samantha, Sarah, Devon, Elia, Carrisa, Draiden, Violet, Chrissie,
His sister Yvonne, sister Christine (Brian), sister Rosetta (Denis), his brother Dwayne (Karen)
Predeceased by his parents, Betty and Wally, and sister Diane
John's celebration of life will be held summer of 2018 in Peers, Alberta.
