John Jackson Sarnacki

John is survived by his wife Wendy, his daughter Laurie (Ryan), his son Marc (Trisha) and his grandchildren Evan, Erik, Alexus and Jaxton. He was predeceased by his mother Anne and his father Boleslaw.

John was born in Glasgow, Scotland and at five years of age travelled by ship to eastern Canada, this was just the beginning of his long journey to Ocean Falls, BC. Ocean Falls was where John grew up and had an amazing childhood filled with fishing, accordion playing and swimming. John played many sports when he was young, but swimming was where he excelled. John travelled all over BC with his swim team and continued to enjoy swimming into his adult years.

John lived in Langley, Abbotsford and during his later years Chilliwack. John met the love of his life, Wendy, at Freightliner in 1970 and they were married in June 1971. John and his wife enjoyed taking trips to the Oregon Coast and storm watching.

For 25 years John was an Auxiliary member of the RCMP, beginning with the Surrey detachment, moving to the Abbotsford detachment and then to the Mission detachment.

John enjoyed spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by all those that knew him. There will be no service at the request of John.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the BC Kidney foundation or a charity of your choice.
