It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mark Valpy on August 5th, 2015 in Chilliwack after a short battle with congestive heart failure at the age of 76 years. He was born in Edmonton, Alberta on October 15, 1938.
Mark is survived by his wife Janice of 33 years, his son Laurie Valpy, his daughter Jillan (Dave ) Cook, Valpy, stepsons; Sean (Trudi) Metcalfe, Jason (Robin) Metcalfe and grandchildren Carissa, Cayden and Cooper and his best buddy and companion “Maggie” who will miss their daily walks around the park.
Mark spent most of his life as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer employed first with PWA, then Okanagan Helicopters for 35 years and was with CHC Helicopters until his retirement.
A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Henderson’s Funeral Home in our Tea Room, 45901 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack, B.C. No flowers by request instead donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
