Patricia Karen O’Brien went to her eternal rest on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Patricia, affectionately known as Pat, was born in Pembroke, Ontario on September 23, 1952. She is survived by her husband, Rick, her children Ricky (Nicole), Cindy (Richard), Christina (Les), her 9 grandchildren, Andrew, Cindy, Chelsea, Isaak (AKA Abram), Jamison, Samuel (Sammy), Beth, Kathleen and Andrew (AKA Moses), her siblings, Terri (Charlie), Richard (Judy) and Michael, her 4 nieces, 4 nephews, 12 great niece and nephews and 2 great great nieces. She was predeceased by her father and mother Corlis and Gilda Gilbert.

Pat came from a military background and as such lived in numerous places throughout her childhood including a time in Germany. While living in Pembroke Ontario, she met Fredrick O’Brien (Rick) in 1970. In 1971, Pat and Rick married and began their life together. Their first child was born in 1972, second child 1974 and their third child in 1975.

In 1974, Pat gave her life to Jesus Christ, which is when a life of serving HIM ensued. Singing, leading worship, children’s ministry, Women’s Aglow, were just a few of the things that Pat dedicated her life to. Pat was an amazing artist and painter. She was known for her amazing hugs and words of encouragement. People of all walks of life flocked to her because she truly SAW them. Pat whole heartily emulated the love of Jesus.

Pat, Mom, Nana, Gerdie, Patsy, Aunty Patsy, although our hearts are broken, we rest assured in the promise that one day we will see you once again and get to experience your new heavenly embrace.
