January 4, 1957 – July 15, 2023
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steve, after a short battle with cancer. He passed away on July 15 at CGH with family at his side. He is survived by his parents, Allan and Marion Rendall, sisters Sheena Rendall and Margaret Atkinson (Robert), nephews Colin (Marina) and Cameron (Robyn), grand nieces Jessabelle and McKinlee and grand nephew Cade. He will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and longtime friends in BC and Alberta.
Steve grew up in Chilliwack where his main pursuits were hockey, hunting, cooking and restoring his ’68 Firebird (twice!). He spent most of his adult life in Northern Alberta working as a heavy machinery operator, and as an infrastructure construction foreman, but had recently returned to the Fraser Valley to work on the Transmountain Pipeline Project.
A celebration of life will take place on August 26, 2023 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm at the Chilliwack Lions Club (45580 Spadina Ave, Chilliwack) .
In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Cancer Foundation in his memory would be appreciated.
