

Mr. Fesperman was born on March 11, 1933 in Rowan County and was the son of the late Herman Franklin Fesperman and Grace Julian Safrit Fesperman.
Educated in the Rowan County Schools, he was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Ben served his country in the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
Earlier in his life, he and his brother Will formed Ben and Will's Texaco, of which he operated for many years. Later, he worked for and retired from the ABC store in Kannapolis. When he was not working, he loved to go fishing, especially at the outer banks. Tinkering and fixing anything mechanical was his favorite pastime, whether it be cars or lawn mowers. He loved being with people and he would talk to anyone, greeting you with a firm handshake or a hug. He took great pleasure in reading his Bible, as he loved his Lord.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 50 years, Doris Jean Long.
Those with cherished memories are his son Andy Lynn Fesperman (Sandy), daughters Connie Fesperman Weaver and friend Danny McKnight, and Donna Fesperman Taylor (Roger). Also surviving him are his brother William Fesperman and sisters Alice Lloyd and Joanne Wingler (Albert).
Surviving grandchildren are Benjamin Fesperman (Desirae), Kim Kennerly (Jordan), Chrissy Taylor, Heather Taylor and great grandchildren Austin Taylor, Avery Fesperman, and Ben's special friend, Mary Ann Hammonds and her daughters Donna and Ginger.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 27, 2023 in the Sanctuary of Concordia Lutheran Church in China Grove from 1:00 pm till 2:00 pm with funeral to follow at 2:00 also at the Church with Pastor George Rhyne, officiating. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
