

Mr. Rodgers was born on August 29, 1937 in Cabarrus County and was the son of the late Walter Rodgers and Lucy Smith Rodgers. He proudly served his country in the US Army. He retired from Cannon Mills Company after 38 years of service. Working on small engines, lawn mowers, tillers and week eaters were his favorite things to do. His family was very important to him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Elsie Brown Rodgers and several brothers and sisters.
Those surviving him are his sons Larry N. Rodgers and Michael Rodgers. Also surviving are his grandchildren Alexandria Blackwelder, Natalie Rodgers and Mitchell Rodgers and great grandchildren Emrie Harrington and Calum Kelly.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 3:00 pm at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove with Pastor Mike Austin, officiating.
