Born on December 20, 1930 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Austin Corl and Lena Jackson Corl.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Boyd Gilbert Baity, who died on September 19, 1988; one daughter, Dawn Baity; grandson, Philip Austin Baity and her sister, Doris Hudson, also preceded her in death.
Delma graduated from Rowan County Schools and spent her life as a homemaker. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
She will be remembered for her love of family and the outdoors. She loved to cook and was a very independent woman.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son Carl Philip Baity (Wendy); daughter, Emily Baity Snider; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Services will be private and Mrs. Baity was laid to rest beside her husband at Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery.
