

Ethel Margaret Hall, age 95 of China Grove passed away at Tucker Hospice House on Saturday, December 29, 2018 after a brief illness. Mrs. Hall was born April 26, 1923 in Rowan County and was the daughter of the late Archie Roseman and Maggie Louise Beaver Roseman. Her first husband, Earl Poplin and brothers; Hubert Roseman, Harry Roseman, and Carl Roseman and her sister, Viola Sechler, also preceded her in death. She attended Rowan County Schools and was retired from Cannon Mills where she worked for many years in the Sewing Department. She was a lifelong active member of Mt. Zion United Church of Christ. Her hobbies included square dancing, gardening and canning and she enjoyed listening to Bluegrass music. She loved to travel and was well known for her homemade pecan pies, which were a true favorite among all family gatherings.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 17 years, Roy Hall and her sister-inlaw, Alta Roseman. She is also survived by step-children, Deborah Hipkins (Michael), Kaye Vernon (Mark), and Sheila Partin (Craig). She also leaves behind many other nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed by all her knew and loved her.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hall will be held on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Mt. Zion United Church of Christ, 1415 S. Main Street, China Grove at 3:00PM officiated by Reverend Mark Burns. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Hall will be from 1:00-3:00PM in the Church Parlor of Mt. Zion United Church of Christ prior to her service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are to be made to Mt.
