Evelyn Kay Hargett

Kannapolis-Evelyn Kay Hargett, 82, passed away Tuesday morning, February 12, 2013, at Best of Care Living, where she was a resident. Born November 18, 1930, in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Morrison and Grace Ballard Hargett. A special child of God, Evelyn loved children and had worked in the nursery of Landis Baptist Church for over 40 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Sam Hargett.

Family members include her beloved sister, Mrs. Phyllis Eddinger, who faithfully cared for her throughout her entire life. Evelyn is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Best of Care for the extraordinary care, concern and love they gave to Evelyn during her stay.

A memorial service to remember, celebrate and honor Evelyn's life was held at Landis Baptist Church on Friday, February 15, 2013.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, POB 568, China Grove, NC 28023, to help with funeral costs.
