

Born in Rowan County on June 13, 1935, he was the son of the late Frank Myers Weddington and Della Mae Huffman Weddington.
In addition to his parents, Frank was also preceded in death by his first wife, Patsy Kelly Weddington and his brother, Wayne Myers Weddington.
Mr. Weddington graduated from Landis High School and Catawba College. He owned and operated two car dealerships in Rockingham, NC.
His passions included classic cars, going to car shows, traveling, and was an avid fan and supporter of Duke University ball teams.
Mr. Weddington was a member of Mt. Zion United Church of Christ in China Grove, NC. He later was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Rockingham, NC and during the last several years attended Shadybrook Baptist Church in Kannapolis, NC.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 18 years, Hildred Linn Weddington; son, Randy Weddington (Jodi) of Concord; daughter, Lugena Weddington Pevoto of Rockingham, NC and step-son, Terry Hugh Linn (Cathy) of Tega Cay, SC.
Mr. Weddington is further survived by his grandchildren, Brandon Eugene Pevoto, Ariel Grace Weddington, Griffin Thomas Beesley, John Walker Linn, Thomas Hugh Linn, Andrew Mcleod Linn, and Susan Elizabeth Evenhouse; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 4, 2025 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, 1420 N. Main Street China Grove, NC.
The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM in the Northcrest Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Charlie Littlejohn officiating. Burial will follow the service at Greenlawn Cemetery.
