Glenda Osborne Shuffler

Mrs. Glenda Osborne Shuffler, 81 of China Grove, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis. Born on July 27, 1935 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Ruby Baker Osborne.

Mrs. Shuffler was a longtime member of South China Grove United Methodist Church in China Grove, where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and taught the children’s Sunday School Class. She retired from Salisbury Fire Appliance as office manager. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Edgar William “Bill” Shuffler and her son Richard Shuffler as well as daughter in law Gail Shuffler, her brother Rondal “Starling” Osborne and sister Joyce Hinson. Those left to cherish her memory is her son Eddie Lee Shuffler (Donna) of Concord, and sister Cissy Tadlock of Murrells Inlet, S.C.. Additionally, she was survived by her grandchildren, Steven Jarrod Shuffler and Marissa Shuffler Porter (Matthew) and great grandchildren Zachary and Avery Porter. Many caring nieces and nephews survive her as well . Mrs. Shuffler particularly enjoyed the love and compassion shown to her from her nephew and his wife, Neal and Doris Ballard.

Visitation will be on Friday from 2:00 til 3:00 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral at 3:00 also at the funeral home with Rev. Doc Warner, minister. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
